Good Deal Good Things

I opened my door today to find my Lilly Pulitzer box just waiting for me. My end of summer bargains couldn't have come at a better time because Darien has been so muggy and hot. If you didn't know, Lilly Pulitzer had their BIG sale about a week and half ago and the prices were pretty phenomenal.  Full disclosure -- I am not a big Lilly wearer. For starters, I am not generally a print lover -- dots, stripes, and gingham is about as far as I delve into the print arena. I also think it is a crime for anyone my age to wear embroidered critters on their rear (or bright crocs on their feet). That said, I think their palette is always beautiful, their fit is always consistent and their silhouettes are always feminine. So, I ended up with a few items to add into my wardrobe. Here is what I got.

My cousin turned me on to the Elsa silhouette and it is my favorite shirt style. I am long in the waist, so this has the length that I need and also offers a little coverage of the rear (which I also need). This hyacinth color is a fav and of course, pink is on-trend for fall.  I'll wear this with both white and navy bottoms and gold shoes!

This top was exactly what I needed for the weekend. It is so cool and looks great with white, pink or green bottoms.  It has a little shaping through the waist, but also hides a lot of sins! At $29 I should have bought this in the solid color ways too.

Navy is my husbands favorite color on me. So, I picked up this Lana top for $18. I practically can't buy a tee shirt at the Gap for that price. This one has some cute ruching on the sleeve and will look great with one of my chunky necklaces!

I guess I am loving this hyacinth color. This beauty was $14 and I figured the 3/4 sleeve would carry me a little ways into fall.

So, what deals am I scoring today?  Well, after the love affair I had with my metallic Sperrys this summer, I bought the canvas versions for my boys. They were so cute with seersucker shorts and they were just right for end-of-summer church. I just found the canvas ones on Endless for a steal! I bought Brown ($15), orange ($20) and blue ($15) for the boys. That's 50-60% off retail! Free shipping and free returns seal the deal.

Just when I thought it couldn't get better, I found metallic pink ones for KF.  Talk about Mini Me!  These were $20 and I know she will love them!
