I had such a nice Mother's day. Ric got the kids up and dressed, and then took us to breakfast at Estia's-- a new restaurant in town. My Greek omelet was great, but Ric's Mexican Hash was even better! We arrived right when they opened (along with the Punishills, Bastos, Murphys and Sahlias) and it's a good thing we did as their phones and credit card machine went down and they had to close up early.
Since there was an arts festival in Fairfield, we decided
to take the kids for the afternoon-- after hitting Pinkberry, of
course. I love a great arts festival. Atlanta's Dogwood Festival is FAN-tastic and I used to attend it yearly. It was full of great art, jewelry, and fun home accessories! We didn't find one thing to buy at the one in Fairfield, but the weather was glorious and the town was picturesque! I love some of the pictures below. The tree in the third picture is enormous and the kids look so small next to it! Don't you just love small towns?
We ended the day with a glass of wine and dinner on the deck. What a nice way to end Mother's day!
