Easter 2012

Having lived in NYC for 10 years, I am pretty familiar with spending holidays apart from most of my family.  As is the case with most city dwellers, your friends become your family, and you share your customs and traditions with them.  In our current house, we just don't have the space to entertain.  So, we had planned to spend Easter at a restaurant in the city.  Instead, my dear friend Kara (and a brand new resident to Darien) asked us to spend the day with her and her family.  Kara and I have known each other for 15 years and our last years in NYC were spent in the same apartment building exactly two floors apart.  The last time I saw her sisters was eight years ago in that very apartment enjoying way too much wine and Florentine steak!

The Easter Bunny was generous as always and brought the kids so many fun goodies.  His gifts are becoming increasingly more useful...Flashlights, Footballs, Sunglasses (for vacation), Ponchos (For vacation), toothbrushes and neck rolls.   What fun!
