ADVENTURELAND was so much fun. The kids loved all the things we did here. My sister-in-law turned us on to the Dole-Whip at Aloha Isle (a key west style kiosk) -- and it's not to be missed. Dole Whip is a yummy frozen yogurt that is half pineapple half vanilla -- and ridiculously good. In Adventureland we did...
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Swiss Family Robinson -- my kids love this movie (watch it before you go to Disney)
- Jungle Cruise -- be prepared for lots of corny jokes. J was a little nervous as he thought the crocs were real
FRONTIERLAND has a lot of scarier rides. Thunder Mountain Railway was closed, but had it been open we would have definitely ridden it. We hit the Haunted Mansion: KF and J were terrified, but Chomps was not as much. He kept asking how they made the effects (typical), while KF actually believed they were real. Splash Mountain was fun and loved by all, but J never would have gone had he known which ride we were boarding. Country Bear Jamboree and Tom Sawyer Island were two "if we have time" options -- and at the end, they didn't make the cut. Here is what we did...
- The Haunted Mansion
- Splash Mountain
- It's a Small World
- Mickeys Philharmagic
- Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
- Tomorrowland Speedway
The Magic Kingdom does not have much in the way of good food. So, we opted to do a BIG breakfast at the hotel, and then we snacked all day on the goodies they sent with us. We had the DOLE WHIP for a snack and then we left early for a yummier dinner off-property. If you gotta eat, Casey's Hot Dogs is a solid option and is located at the end of Main Street.
